Summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) seeks a visionary, highly technical, and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Information Management (IM) Governance and Analytics. This pivotal role sits at the intersection of data integrity and business intelligence, tasked with transforming how the enterprise perceives, accesses, and utilizes its data assets. As the organization pivots toward a more aggressive Data-Driven Culture, the Director will be the primary architect of data democratization and literacy.

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team of Business Systems Analysts to ensure that data is not only accurate and governed but also actionable for leaders across the clinical, financial, and operational spectrum. This is a unique opportunity for a leader who balances deep technical big data expertise with the soft skills of business liaison management. The Director will drive the evolution of Governance in PHS, moving beyond standard reporting to create a self-service ecosystem where data lineage is transparent, quality is guaranteed, and business decision-making is accelerated through automation.

Remote:
Open to applicants in the United States, excluding CA, IL, ND, NY, OH, WA, and WY.

Hybrid:
For individuals within 60 miles of Albuquerque, in-office presence is required Tuesday through Thursday.

Strategic Leadership & Governance
  • Vision & Strategy: Partner with the SVP of AO to develop the vision, goals, and objectives for the IM Governance teams.
  • IM Governance: Design and integrate best-practice tools and processes (data quality standards, lineage documentation, report catalogs) to improve trust in PHS data.
  • Data Literacy: Lead the "Data Democratization" movement, ensuring business users possess the tools and training to interpret data into actionable insights.
Operational Excellence
  • Data and Information Management Oversight: Lead the execution of best practices to ensure tools are developed with ease-of-use and self-service capabilities in mind.
  • Process Automation: Ensure work efficiencies and decrease manual efforts by leveraging enterprise data management tools and automation.
  • Portfolio Management: Direct a portfolio of projects including scope definition, functional requirements, and risk management.
Business Liaison & Value Creation
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain relationships with Business and IT leaders to ensure AO output meets and exceeds expectations.
  • Value Storytelling: Develop a year-end "Value Story" to capture the team's contribution to PHS goals and the measurable ROI of IM Governance.
  • Vendor Relations: Manage relationships and performance for requisite products and services (e.g., Collibra).
Talent & Culture
  • Team Development: Manage personnel decisions (hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions) for a team of high-profile technical analysts.
  • Career Pathing: Facilitate the creation of career development programs and training opportunities to foster a learning culture within the AO.
Success Measures
  • Establish Credibility: Build strong professional relationships with the SVP of AO and key business stakeholders to align data strategy with clinical and financial goals.
  • Optimize Data Trust: Implement and oversee a data quality framework that reduces unnecessary variations and improves the "single version of truth" for our critical data elements supporting our enterprise measures.
  • Drive Self-Service: Shift the organizational reliance from manual ad-hoc reporting to a robust self-service platform where business leaders can access real-time insights.
  • Fiscal Stewardship: Manage the IM Governance budget, ensuring all investments in technology yield a high return in operational efficiency.
Education
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, IT, or related).
  • Highly Preferred: Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related field.
Experience
  • Ten (10+) years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, and reporting.
  • Five (5+) years of direct management experience, specifically leading high-profile healthcare analytics projects.
