- Merchandise, purchase stock and special order items related to their specific departments and for maintaining inventory levels in two stores
- Determine product mix for locations
- Predict sales/profit
- Negotiate prices/quantities
- Work with marketing department for stock promotions/price reductions
- Assess sales performance ranges.
- Attention to detail, effective professional communication abilities, problem-solving capabilities, and a consistent, organized approach to customer satisfaction are a must.
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience to include at least 2+ years experience in travel coordination/logistics and/or Purchasing experience.
- Has good verbal communications skills
- Is timely in following up on contracts and checking on backordered items
- Is capable of staying within a given budget
- Has good math skills and is quickly able to calculate the cost of goods and services
