Advanced Quality Engineer | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $90,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced quality control plans and inspection procedures.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for complex manufacturing defects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and statistical process control.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure product manufacturability and quality.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and manage supplier corrective actions.
• Mentor and train junior quality engineers on advanced quality methodologies.
• Oversee the development and validation of new inspection technologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and other quality methodologies (e.g., FMEA, Control Plans).
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CSSGB, CSSBB) preferred.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems.
• Proven ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams for problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Familiarity with Minitab or other statistical software
• Project management experience in a manufacturing environment
