Quality Engineer | Allendale, MI
Salary Range: $67,000 - $101,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Allendale region seeking Quality Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Monitor and analyze production processes and product quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Lead and participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Facilitate the use of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and drive resolution.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Experience with various quality tools and techniques (e.g., FMEAs, control plans, PPAP).
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Certification in quality disciplines (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt).
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of specific industry standards or regulations (e.g., ISO 13485 for medical devices, IATF 16949 for automotive).
