Geisinger is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join the NICU team in the Geisinger Northeast Regional Neonatology Division. The GWV service centers around a private room Level 3 NICU and the GCMC service centers around a private room Level 2 NICU. Collaborate with neonatologists, leadership, residents, and NICU nursing staff to care for critically ill and recovering term and preterm infants.
Responsibilities- Attend deliveries and manage delivery room for all infants less than 35 weeks and other high‑risk indications.
- Conduct admissions including history and physical examinations.
- Assess and ongoingly manage current NICU patients.
- Perform intubation.
- Place umbilical lines.
- Insert chest tubes.
- Execute arterial puncture and arterial line placement.
- Manage ventilators.
- Perform other tasks as applicable.
- Master’s Degree – Nurse Practitioner (Required).
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner – American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
- Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Pennsylvania.
