Overview

Pay rate: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. The position offers an easily achievable commission structure that rewards you for every transaction you process, with the potential to earn up to 8% on sales transactions (approximately $1.00 per hour above your hourly rate).

• Most stores open 9:00 a.m. and close 6:00 p.m.; many are closed on Sundays.

Entry‑level, part‑time Retail Sales Associate (Pawnbroker) in First Cash pawn store locations nationwide. Across the lending and retail sides of the business, you will greet, engage, and serve customers, process sales, loans, and other transactions, and assist with inquiries and problem resolution.

• Greet and interact with all customers, building rapport to provide appropriate solutions.
• Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor clean, stocked, and presentable.
• Process sales and loan transactions in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items securely.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and professionalism.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully complete assigned training.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to work for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
• May assist customers outside the store and retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with people and collaborate as a team.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The incentive plan allows Pawnbrokers to earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit and personal performance. Detailed plan information is provided during the interview.
