About the role
As a web Methods Technical Consultant, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise integration solutions across cloud and on‑prem environments using the web Methods platform. You will be a valued member of the Integration & Middleware team and work collaboratively with architects, Dev Ops teams, and business stakeholders.
In this role, you will:- Design and implement integrations using web Methods Integration Server, API Gateway, and web Methods.io to support enterprise workflows
- Lead API development and lifecycle management including REST/SOAP services, policies, security, and throttling
- Support cloud migration initiatives by transitioning on‑prem integrations to web Methods.io with secure and scalable architectures
- Monitor and troubleshoot integrations, analyze logs, and ensure high availability across hybrid environments
- Configure and manage B2B/EDI integrations via Trading Networks, including partner onboarding and document processing
- Strong hands‑on experience with web Methods Integration Server, API Gateway, Trading Networks, and/or web Methods.io
- Proven expertise in integration development using REST, SOAP, messaging, and cloud connectors
- Programming knowledge of Java, Flow services, and scripting for customization and automation
- Solid understanding of cloud integration, hybrid architecture, and migration from on‑prem to cloud
- Experience working with databases and SQL for backend validation and data handling
- Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Dev Ops practices
- Strong understanding of API security, authentication, encryption, and certificate management
- Experience optimizing performance and tuning integrations for high‑volume environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross‑functional environments

Salary and Other Compensation:This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
