HVAC / Mechanical Commissioning Engineers & Technicians
Location: Amarillo, Texas
Contract: 12–18 Month W2 Contract
We are supporting a live data centre project in Amarillo, Texas and are looking to engage experienced HVAC / Mechanical Commissioning Engineers and Commissioning Technicians to join the team.
This is a long-term opportunity on a major mission‑critical build, working through key commissioning phases on complex mechanical systems.
The RoleYou will be responsible for supporting commissioning, testing, and validation of mechanical systems, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and in line with design intent.
Key Responsibilities- Commissioning and functional testing of HVAC systems
- Working across chilled water systems, AHUs and rooftop units
- Reviewing and executing commissioning scripts and procedures
- Supporting integrated systems testing and troubleshooting
- Working closely with controls teams to validate sequences of operation
- Identifying and resolving issues through to full system handover
- Strong hands‑on commissioning experience within data centres or mission‑critical environments
- Solid understanding of chilled water systems and airside equipment
- Experience with AHUs, rooftop units and HVAC infrastructure
- Knowledge of HVAC controls and control sequences, not just installation
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics and sequences of operation
- Candidates who understand how systems operate, not just how they are installed
We already have coverage on the electrical side, but we are still open to electrically biased candidates with relevant commissioning experience in data centre environments.
