What You'll Do
As a System Engineer/Technical Authority for our Realtime Air Monitoring System (RAMS), your critical role involves leading initiatives to ensure the operational excellence and integrity of a vital safety system. You will be instrumental in transforming conceptual requirements into tangible system realities, driving projects from initiation to completion, and providing critical insights for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
You will serve as a team member, collaborating dynamically with other System Engineers, Facility Engineering Management, and Project Management to conquer complex challenges related to RAMS. This role empowers you to make informed decisions on defined tasks, projects, and issues, leveraging your comprehensive understanding of this multi-faceted system to resolve technical complexities and achieve optimal solutions.
Your Responsibilities will specifically focus on the RAMS system, including:
* System Ownership & Integrity:
Validate physical configuration, drive Configuration Management activities, and ensure the health and performance of RAMS, bearing overall technical responsibility for its operability and maintenance. This encompasses managing multiple pieces of distributed equipment and their interfaces with other systems.
* Design & Project Leadership:
Perform Electrical Engineering Design Technical Reviews for all proposed RAMS modifications, ensuring compliance with design criteria and Safety Basis requirements. You will originate discipline-specific Engineering Calculations, Evaluations, and Item Equivalencies for RAMS components and functions.
* Technical Problem Solving:
Apply extensive technical expertise to provide solutions for complex RAMS problems, including essential field troubleshooting support. Responsibilities include managing data logging for alarms, user-initiated system changes (e.g., alarm set point adjustments, placing monitors offline), and overseeing report generation.
* Strategic
Collaboration:
Act as a key electrical engineering technical contact for RAMS, guiding significant programs/projects and interfacing with external personnel to ensure seamless coordination.
This role requires an engineer who excels at developing robust technical solutions where ingenuity and analytical rigor are essential for complex, integrated safety systems like RAMS. If you are prepared to make a significant and tangible impact in a challenging and rewarding environment, we encourage you to apply.
