Water​/Wastewater Project Engineer

Water/Wastewater Project Engineer Amarillo, Texas

Garver is seeking a Water/Wastewater
Project Engineer in our Lubbock or Amarillo office to join our established Texas Water team. The Project Engineer works under a Project Manager and collaborates with multi-discipline design engineers and CAD technicians, focusing on production of reports, studies, technical memoranda, plans, details, and specifications.

Responsibilities include:

• Design of water conveyance and distribution including pump stations and storage facilities.
• Design of wastewater conveyance and collection including pumping/lift stations and force mains.
• Design of water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Improvements and retrofitting of existing facilities.
• Water, wastewater, and reuse master planning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil, biological, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 2+ years experience in design of municipal water/wastewater conveyance and/or treatment systems.
• Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or able to obtain in the next 6 months.

Preferred

Skills:

• Master’s degree in civil, biological, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Experience with Micro Station, GIS, Water
  
  CAD, or Sewer
  
  CAD.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
