Quality Manager

Eaton’s GEIS division is currently seeking a Quality Manager. This role is onsite at our Amarillo, TX facility, and relocation within the United States is provided.

The GEIS division is part of Eaton’s global electrical sector and has over 100 years of experience in enhancing efficiency, safety, and reliability for our customers. The Amarillo facility has approximately 140 team members and serves customers with a variety of parts, including conduits, covers, and fittings.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 – $143,000.

The Quality Manager reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for leading the plant QA/QC system. This includes receiving and in‑process inspection, testing, audits, repairs, continuous improvement, product launch, supplier quality, quality system compliance, and problem solving.

• Sustain and improve current manufacturing processes, APQP quality standards, ISO 9001, and customer requirements.
• Ensure all plant personnel adhere to quality and process controls.
• Continuously increase quality awareness in all associates and suppliers, driving a quality culture to support our customers and achieve business goals.
• Manage, coach, and develop quality associates and promote a positive quality culture throughout the facility.
• Skillful in PFMEA, control plan, and standard work.
• Develop and lead quality‑related technical training to operations to ensure compliance with established policies, meet or exceed customer expectations, and fulfill ISO certification requirements.
• Establish systems for data collection and analysis and use that data to drive continuous improvement activities within manufacturing departments.
• Plan for, lead, and measure voice of process and voice of customer performance and quality system effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary.
• Resolve internal and external quality concerns promptly.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a Quality function.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum two (2) years of people‑leadership experience.

• Detailed knowledge of ISO 9000 quality system requirements.
• Expert skills in using and training quality tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, 5 whys, 8 D, Gage R‑R, FMEA, SPC, etc.
• Certified Quality Auditor Credential.
• Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASEQ) as Six Sigma Black Belt or Certified Quality Engineer.
• Experience with metal machining, molding, assembly, casting, or similar processes.
• CMM programming and operating knowledge.
• Working knowledge of AIAG standards, including APQP and PPAP.
• Experience with control plans, PFMEAs, process auditing, and driving process discipline.
