Job Summary
Alaska Overview
The Alaska segment primarily explores for, produces, transports and markets crude oil, natural gas and NGLs. We are the largest crude oil producer in Alaska and have major ownership interests in the Prudhoe Bay, Kuparuk and Western North Slope asset areas. Additionally, we are one of Alaska's largest owners of state, federal and fee exploration leases, with approximately one million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2025.
Alaska operations contributed 12 percent of our consolidated liquids production and one percent of our consolidated natural gas production.
In 2025, net crude oil production for Alaska averaged 199 MBOED.
Position Overview
The Geodata & Seismic Analyst is responsible for the stewardship, readiness, and digital enablement of seismic and geospatial data used across subsurface interpretation, modeling, and analytics workflows. This role ensures seismic data is accurate, compliant, automation‑ready, and suitable for emerging digital and AI‑assisted workflows, while continuing to provide strong operational support to geoscience and GGRE users.
The position acts as the primary seismic data authority bridging traditional geodata management with digital workflow automation and AI‑ready data practices, supporting evolving subsurface technology initiatives without assuming data science or software engineering responsibilities.
Your responsibilities may include:
Seismic & Geodata Stewardship
* Manage the lifecycle of seismic and geodata datasets, including loading, validation, navigation accuracy, metadata management, and version control.
* Ensure seismic & geodata quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory and internal data standards.
* Support seismic & geodata data readiness within Petrel Studio, GGRE systems, DIGS, Sync Tool, and related platforms.
* Engage directly with GGRE stakeholders to translate seismic and geodata use cases into actionable solutions, providing consultative guidance, triaging needs, and identifying when to elevate or scale opportunities through enterprise data, analytics, or application teams.
Digital & Analytics Readiness
* Define and maintain analytics ready seismic & geodata datasets, ensuring data structures and metadata support automation, analytics, and AI‑assisted workflows.
* Validate seismic & geodata suitability for downstream digital initiatives, including AI enabled interpretation tools and automated workflows.
* Partner with Data & AI teams to ensure seismic & geodata aligns with enterprise data governance and trusted data principles.
* Provide feedback on data limitations, assumptions, and standards impacting upstream and downstream dependencies, including AI effectiveness.
User & Operational Support
* Provide Level 2/3 support for seismic & geodata issues, including root cause analysis and coordination with GGRE, Data Ops, and vendor teams.
* Support testing, upgrades, and releases for GGRE applications (Petrel, Techlog, etc.).
* Develop and maintain user…
