IT Support, Systems Administrator

About the RoleAs the IT Support & Identity Specialist you will work onsite in Anchorage, AK and provide identity administration, endpoint management and advanced technical support for end users across Calista Brice’s organization. The role focuses on managing user accounts, access permissions and delivering Tier‑2 desktop and endpoint service.
Responsibilities- Identity Functions: Administer the full lifecycle of user and system accounts in Active Directory, Microsoft Entra hybrid environments; manage Microsoft 365 licensing, Exchange distribution groups, mailboxes and other security groups; oversee authentication mechanisms and governance procedures; work with third‑party platforms such as Apple Business Manager and Adobe Admin Console; track, update and close service requests; maintain compliance with company security and IT policies.
- Desktop Support Functions: Provide Tier‑2 technical support for desktop hardware, software, mobile devices and printers via remote, phone and on‑site methods; employ Microsoft Intune and Ninja One for endpoint management, software deployment, asset tracking and configuration enforcement; document repairs, maintain service logs, identify recurring issues and recommend improvements;
Escalate unresolved incidents to appropriate internal or external resources; maintain accurate asset records and troubleshooting notes; provide on‑the‑job training and act as a customer advocate; set up equipment for new users and travel to client sites as needed. - Maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely; perform additional duties as directed.
- Operational knowledge of Desktop Services, Microsoft Office and standard business applications.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Entra , Intune, Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Knowledge of Power Shell, remote access products (Microsoft Remote Desktop, Citrix, Go To Meeting , etc.), LAN/WAN, TCP/IP and networking components.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and time‑management skills.
- Effective oral and written communication; ability to provide high‑level customer service and active listening.
- Strong interpersonal skills suitable for all levels of staff and management.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently and handle stressful environments.
- Valid driver’s license, ability to drive safely and travel intracity in Alaska (20‑25% of the time).
- Associate degree, vocational certificate or technical training in Information Technology or related field; or equivalent experience with relevant technical certifications (A+, Network+).
- Five (5) years of Level2 or higher technical support experience in a computer network and desktop environment.
- Valid state driver’s license; ability to pass drug, driving and background screening.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft or similar.
