Position Overview
Electrical Engineer II – Failure Analysis in the Electrical Analysis – Northeast section of the Materials & Process Engineering Department. The role supports programs that perform electrical component evaluations and root‑cause failure analysis on devices ranging from passive components to complex microcircuits and cables.
Key Responsibilities- Execute the full failure‑analysis process, including photo‑documentation, electrical testing, non‑destructive and destructive testing, environmental testing, X‑ray, SEM evaluation, and report writing.
- Operate laboratory equipment such as microscopes, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, LCR analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and specialized tools for decapsulation and cross‑sections.
- Manage multiple analyses concurrently.
- Collaborate with engineers in materials, chemistry, and other disciplines to support cross‑functional analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with at least two years of relevant failure‑analysis experience.
- Experience using electrical test equipment.
- Background in failure analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of reading electrical schematics and circuit analysis.
- Familiarity with component datasheets and drawings.
- Strong data collection, presentation, and reporting skills.
- Technical knowledge of electrical components and their applications.

Security ClearanceU.S. citizenship required. Existing DoD Secret clearance necessary; active clearance required after day 1.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, holidays, and potential incentive compensation.
