Position
Wellness Nurse Manager (Part‑Time)
Location:
Ankeny, Iowa
Sign‑on Bonus: $3,000
Starting Hourly Wage: $30.00–$37.00 per hour
Shift
Schedule:
Wednesday 6:00 am–6:00 pm
- Be a Superior Supervisor:
In the absence of department heads, in charge of the building; active in the department, assist and lead the Wellness team and other departments to provide quick, reliable, and person‑centered care. - Be a Force on the Floor:
Lead by example, available to help with call lights and other requests, showing a sense of urgency that puts the resident’s needs first. - Be a Diligent Documenter:
Complete resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents accurately and efficiently, and file them correctly. - Be a Compassionate Caregiver:
Exemplify the core values of Arrow, ensuring each interaction with a resident is professional, caring, and ends with the resident feeling safe.
- Current LPN or RN license in good standing within the state of employment.
- Provide direct hands‑on nursing care, including medication passes as needed.
- Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of medication regulation and law.
- Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to residents.
- Preferred, but not required, experience in hands‑on care of memory‑impaired residents.
- Preferred, but not required, experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude; love for residents.
- Active: role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and perform two‑person transfers.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and post‑fall care.
- Criminally cleared.
