- Serve as vital link between engineering teams, clients, and back‑office operations.
- Front‑office reception, daily mail distribution, and manage project‑based billing, receivables, and posting client receipts.
- Engineering billing & collections: prepare accurate invoices, resolve billing holds with PMs, and handle professional collection calls.
- Official notary services: act as office notary public.
- Assist project coordination: track schedules, prepare RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Answer multi‑line phones, screen inquiries, manage mail and packages, order supplies, and coordinate office outings.
Requirements:
- Notary public commission or willingness to obtain immediately.
- At least 5 years of administrative experience, preferably within engineering or professional services.
- Experience with project‑based accounts receivable or collections.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word); experience with Deltek Ajera is a major plus.
- Exceptional detail‑orientation and ability to manage multiple timelines.
- Business development for land development division.
- Perform all facets of civil site design: site layout, land grading, stormwater management, roadway and utility infrastructure, sediment and erosion control.
- Create CAD drawings, layouts, and production plans per local codes and standards; provide quality control.
- Prepare detailed stormwater management reports: ESDv computations, drainage area delineation, runoff, storm drain flows, HGLs, suitability reports, cost estimates, and other technical documents.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory agency reviewers throughout project duration.
- Handle permit processing and submittals with local and state agencies.
- Communicate with project team on workflow status and priorities to meet project goals.
- Prepare proposals for potential work and train other team members.
Education &
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET‑accredited college or university.
- Proficiency in Hydro
CAD, TR‑55, and Maryland Stormwater Management design and computation preferred. - Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Technical excellence in engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate precision, thoroughness, and diligence in handling tasks.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to assess project needs and deliver client solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform fieldwork year‑round, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, and construction layout.
- Assist in maintenance of survey equipment and crew vehicle.
- Operate Trimble GPS, Trimble Robotic Total Stations, and data collectors.
- Learn and perform survey office tasks such as deed research, plotting, transferring fieldwork files, and processing fieldwork.
- Show willingness to advance and learn new survey skills and techniques.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate degree in land surveying or CST certification desired. - 3‑5 years of field survey experience preferred.
- AutoCAD 1 year of experience (preferred).
- Physical ability to perform rigorous tasks.
- Lead electrical group, manage staff, quality control, project management, and review design and construction documents.
- Assist with process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), instrumentation & control implementation.
