We are seeking an experienced GIS & Engineering Records Consultant to support a large-scale public utility initiative focused on enterprise GIS modernization, data management, and integrated engineering systems in the water and wastewater sector.
This role will work on advanced, enterprise-grade environments involving ESRI platforms, ECM systems, and cloud-based GIS transformation
, contributing to mission-critical infrastructure programs.
- Deliver enterprise GIS solutions aligned with utility data models and business processes
- Lead data migration, conversion, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Integrate GIS systems with enterprise platforms (ERP, Asset Management, ECM systems such as File Net)
- Support cloud migration initiatives (Azure) and database transitions (Oracle to SQL Server)
- Enhance GIS workflows by linking engineering records, customer data, and project systems
- Develop and optimize GIS/ECM workflows, automation processes, and document management systems
- Provide technical expertise in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ESRI Portal-based solutions
- Support project delivery, upgrades, and system enhancements through testing and implementation
- 8+ years of experience in GIS consulting, preferably in water/wastewater utilities
- Strong expertise in ESRI technologies (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, Enterprise GIS)
- Experience with enterprise GIS integration across systems like ERP, AMS, and ECM platforms
- Hands-on experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Knowledge of utility network data models and spatial data management
- Familiarity with IBM File Net ECM or similar document management platforms
- Strong understanding of data quality control, data governance, and GIS best practices
- Experience supporting engineering records and document workflows
- Exposure to BIM, 3D modeling, or asset visualization technologies
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera or e-Builder
- Experience with cloud-hosted GIS environments (Azure)
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as LiDAR, drone mapping, or AR-based visualization
