The Senior Cloud System Administrator will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure and services, as well as select on‑premises infrastructure. The role ensures stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the cloud computing environment, supporting both production and development workloads. The administrator collaborates with cross‑functional teams to implement scalable solutions and secure architectures that meet business objectives, while embodying Dev Sec Ops practices and Agile methodology.
Responsibilities- Active security clearance
- Security+ and IAT Level II, DoD 8140 compliant
- Computing environment certification
- Deploy and manage Azure and hybrid‑cloud environments
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for cloud‑related incidents and service requests
- Enforce compliance with data protection and privacy standards
- Support CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices with development and operations teams
- Monitor system performance and availability using cloud‑native and third‑party tools
- Deep understanding of Linux and Windows Server operating systems in cloud environments
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Power Shell DSC
- Automating routine tasks through scripting (Power Shell, Python, Bash)
- Deep understanding of Azure Dev Ops Server
- Experience utilizing DISA STIGs and security best practices for Azure and AWS
- Deep understanding of IaaS and PaaS deployments
- Proficient with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience enforcing compliance with data protection and privacy standards
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices
- Experience monitoring system performance and availability using cloud‑native and third‑party tools
- Excellent understanding of Dev Sec Ops best practices
- Strong knowledge of planning and performing in an Agile work environment
- Experience using project planning software (Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence)
- Exceptional technical troubleshooting skills (applications, services, servers, networking)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective writing to produce documentation for technicians and users
- 7+ years’ experience in Azure Cloud and Windows Administration
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native Kubernetes
- Proficiency in container orchestration and automation of application containers across clusters (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Docker Compose)
- Proven integration of identity management and directory services, specifically ADFS and LDAP
- Single Sign‑on Integration (SAML, OpenID)
- Continuously identify and execute process improvement opportunities
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve team productivity and collaboration through Agile frameworks
