We are currently seeking a Warehouse Clerk for 2nd Shift
. The starting pay rate for this shift is $25.24 per hour
. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard, as well as maintaining records and preparing stock reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to the supervisor.
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a computer.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to internal customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
  • Dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock‑handling equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents to assess supply needs.
  • Prepare products, supplies, equipment, or other items for use by adjusting, repairing, or assembling them, as necessary.
  • Confer with Purchasing Manager regarding stock procurement and availability.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree in a technical field or training in a vocational school preferred.
  • Three to five years of related on‑the‑job experience required.

  • Knowledge required to perform this job includes customer and personal service.
  • Skills required to perform this job include active listening, coordination, speaking, and time management.
  • Abilities required to perform this job include extent flexibility; near vision; static strength; arm‑hand steadiness; manual dexterity; oral comprehension; oral expression; trunk strength; information ordering; multi‑limb coordination; problem sensitivity; speech clarity; and written comprehension.
  • Work activities required to perform this job include handling and moving objects; getting information; communicating with supervisors and peers; processing information; and identifying objects, actions, and events.
  • Physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, standing, stooping, and handling tools and materials.
  • Must wear common protective or safety equipment, such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats.
