This position is responsible for performing maintenance and operations for a dairy farm-based biogas to renewable natural gas (RNG) processing facility. The site consists of four anaerobic digesters and a facility that removes carbon dioxide and other constituents from the biogas stream, producing RNG. The RNG is then compressed into CNG trailers, which are transported to a decompression facility where it is injected into an interstate pipeline.

This role requires operating and maintaining a DOT-regulated pipeline. Employees will be subject to random drug screening per DOT PHMSA requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Perform day-to-day operations and maintenance of the plant, including mechanical and electrical equipment
- Maintain digesters (mixers, pumps, etc.), compressors, gas purification systems, and pipelines
- Diagnose and correct plant and digester malfunctions
- Respond to alarm conditions, troubleshoot, and repair systems to restore operations
- Follow company and project-specific health and safety requirements, including monthly safety audits and inspections
- Maintain administrative records, including logbooks, technical manuals, spare parts inventory, and documentation
- Oversee and coordinate work performed by contractors on-site
- Operate motor vehicles and off-road vehicles on undeveloped terrain
- Travel periodically to other RNG facilities as needed
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrument control systems, including motors, blowers, controls, and pumps
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and recommend solutions
- Availability to work overtime, including call-outs outside normal business hours, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications
Preferred:
- Technical degree in an electrical or mechanical field or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with gas compression and/or gas transportation
- Previous military experience
