OverviewThis position primarily involves working on-site at the project location or in office. Travel frequency and duration will vary depending on the role and project timeline. Final determination of a candidate's starting pay will take into account market location and job related knowledge, skills, education and experience. The pay scale listed generally applies to candidates that meet the specified qualifications.

About the RoleWe’re seeking an Assistant Project Manager to positively impact a complex construction project. APMs coordinate between the field team, project team, and our customers, maintaining partnerships with vendors and subcontractors, reviewing and tracking project activities such as change orders, submittals and tracking logs, and managing project documents. They facilitate learning, drive team meetings, and direct the work of Project Engineers and Project Coordinators in partnership with the Project Manager and field team.
Responsibilities- Coordinate project activities and documentation, including change orders, submittals, tracking logs, and project documents.
- Maintain partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Facilitate learning for yourself and others, drive team meetings.
- Direct the work of Project Engineers and Project Coordinators in partnership with the Project Manager and field team.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering or similar preferred. - Three (3) or more years of experience specifically as a Project Engineer in electrical construction, or MEP experience in general contracting.
- Minimum five (5) years of related experience, including some time managing smaller projects.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to supervise and guide others; technical knowledge and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and improve processes.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
As an Assistant Project Manager at Cupertino Electric, you will be empowered to learn the skills and competencies required to become a successful Project Manager. You will gain experience executing Project Manager level activities, learn project processes, and develop strategic thinking. You will interact extensively with the CEI Production Team, customers, vendors and subcontractors, building professional relationships and networks.
