Salary

The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $44,500 and $49,250 annually, depending on skill and experience level.

Essential Job Functions
  • Perform situational assessments and vocational exploration activities.
  • Assess and address barriers to employment. Provide supportive services where appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individual employment plans.
  • Coordinate and communicate with referral sources, community-based organizations, and other workforce providers.
  • Monitor employment retention, secure employment verifications, and enter proof of employment into required database.
  • Work within program, grant, and agency requirements to meet deadlines.
  • Utilize a team approach and work with other workforce staff to plan, implement, and reach program deliverables and goals.
  • Travel to job seekers' homes, work sites, community meetings, etc.
  • Maintain job seekers' physical and electronic files in funder-required database.
  • Facilitate Job Readiness Training and other group activities.
  • Assist job seekers with creating and editing resumes and cover letters.
  • Contact job seekers on a weekly basis after enrollments and gradually decrease contact after employment placement.
  • Conduct mock interviews.
  • Assist in establishing employment goals.
  • Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and willing to learn.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities
  • Work effectively with diverse staff and service populations.
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills.
  • May be required to work one Saturday and at least one late night per month.
  • Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education required
    .
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business, Communications, or a related field required
    .
  • 3+ years of training or demonstrated experience in providing workforce development/case management preferred
    .
  • 6+ years of training or demonstrated experience in providing workforce development/case management services for at-risk populations required
    .
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and goal setting required
    .
  • Professional development required
    .
Additional Requirements
  • Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks.
Transportation/Travel Requirements
  • Driving for work with a personally owned vehicle required. Travel between sites required.
Physical Demands
  • Speed and accuracy in performing essential duties, requiring prolonged sitting and standing, frequent talking and hearing, use of hands and fingers, occasional bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Requires close visual acuity to properly prepare and analyze data and figures, and to operate a computer terminal.
