Job SummaryThe IT Performance and Risk Management Manager establishes and oversees best practices, procedures, and policies to align IT performance and risk management with organizational strategy. Partners with OIT leadership and stakeholders to monitor KRIs/KPIs, ensure compliance with laws and standards, and manage IT risk and compliance operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- IT Performance and
Risk Management:- Establish IT policies, processes, and methods to evaluate technology risks and execute compliance monitoring.
- Advise IT leadership and business partners on compliance programs.
- Assist in documenting controls related to risk and compliance.
- Manage effectiveness of the IT Risk Management framework and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely management of risk and compliance issues.
- Monitor and report internal compliance issues.
- Assist in developing and monitoring IT performance metrics.
- Engage Information Security and Internal Audit for regulatory compliance.
- Monitor, measure, and report on the Unit Effectiveness Process (UEP).
- Ensure departmental services meet intended UEP outcomes.
- Asset Management:
- Develop and lead strategy, roadmap, and implementation plan for IT Asset Management.
- Establish policies, processes, and systems for asset management.
- Manage lifecycle of hardware and software assets.
- Ensure resources and processes for data analysis of asset life cycles.
- Establish and monitor KRIs/KPIs for asset compliance.
- Oversee remediation of asset-related risks.
- Oversee response to vendor license audits.
- Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Leadership and
Coaching:- Provide coaching and mentoring to staff.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training.
- Electronic and Information Resources (EIR) Accessibility:
- Oversee IT accessibility policy and compliance plan.
- Provide guidance to ensure EIR accessibility.
- Educate IT organization on EIR accessibility requirements.
- Partner with vendor management for accessibility in procurement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3 years of experience in compliance, risk, governance of IT systems.
- 3 years of experience across IT domains (application development, infrastructure, technical support, operations, or business continuity) with 2 years in a supervisory role, or 10 years of combined education/experience.
- Masters degree in a related field or Risk Management certification.
- Experience establishing IT risk management frameworks.
- Experience with Service Now and SharePoint.
- Experience with compliance and risk management.
- Solid understanding of IT risk and asset management best practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and evaluate vendors.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of basic IT concepts and trends.
