Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Fiber Optic Splicing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for splicing fiber optic cables and ensuring optimal connectivity and performance. • Seamlessly splice fiber optic cables according to customer specifications.
• Effectively operate a bucket truck and adhere to safety and traffic regulations.
• Test and troubleshoot fiber continuity to ensure reliable service.
• Utilize various fiber optic equipment including fusion splicers, fiber light identifiers, and OTDRs.
• Work safely and effectively at heights.

• Preferably 2-3 years of experience in fiber splicing.
• Experience with coaxial and fiber optic plants is a plus, but not required.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical prints and designs.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• Proficient in operating a bucket truck.
• Experienced in using hand and power tools effectively.
• Comprehensive understanding of fiber optic networks.
• Able to work safely from a bucket truck, ladder, and climbing gear.

• Ability to read, comprehend, and implement instructions with precision.
• Strong listening, communication, and writing skills.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

• Good color vision is necessary.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug tests.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company policy.
• Physical ability to stoop, crawl, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs, including equipment and tools.
• Willingness to stand for extended periods on varied surfaces.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work long and unpredictable hours when needed.
