Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Installation Technician

Position: Technician I
Trans Core (TCI), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a Technician I to join our team in Arlington, Texas.

Job Summary:

This Technician I position performs on-site or in-house servicing, repair and/or installation of company product(s). This job may include any aspect of field support and installation, and is not limited to electrical, data, and fiber optic cable installation; conduit and pull box installation; troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment, systems, and wiring; installation of equipment; upgrades, modifications, programming; preventive maintenance actions;

documentation. Determines most effective means to install equipment to maximize efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Installs equipment including but not limited to IP based cameras, antennas, detectors, network equipment, controller cabinets.
Install and troubleshoot electrical conductors, data conductors, fiber optic cables.
Uses in-house software to troubleshoot system issues.
Terminates conductors to equipment including CAT6 cables.
Connects electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment.
Tests multiple devices to ensure they work correctly.
Enters detailed information on electronic work orders.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates Degree desirable.
