DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Surveyor Photogrammetrist to lead our aerial data processing workflows, including orthometric imagery, LiDAR point clouds, and topographic surface generation
. You will take ownership of converting raw aerial datasets into accurate, survey‑grade deliverables used in civil, environmental, and land development projects.

Key Responsibilities- Process aerial orthophotos using Pix4D
, including calibration, alignment, georeferencing, orthomosaic generation, and QA/QC. - Process and classify LiDAR datasets using:
- GeoSLAM (SLAM‑based mobile scanning workflows)
- LP360 (UAS and terrestrial LiDAR processing, classification, contour generation, feature extraction)
- Produce high‑accuracy DTMs, DSMs, surface models, contours, point clouds, and CAD‑ready deliverables
. - Manage project‑level geodetic control, coordinate systems, localization files, vertical datums, and metadata documentation.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure survey‑grade accuracy.
- Coordinate with field crews, drone pilots, and engineering staff on data requirements and deliverable timelines.
- Maintain and document processing workflows and best practices.
- Support integration of LiDAR and photogrammetry outputs into CAD, GIS, and BIM environments
.
- Licensed Surveyor Photogrammetrist — any U.S. state license accepted, Virginia preferred.
- 3+ years experience in photogrammetry, remote sensing, LiDAR processing, or geomatics.
- Proficiency with:
- Pix4D Mapper (or similar photogrammetry engines)
- LP360
- Strong understanding of aerial triangulation, coordinate systems, geodetic datums, GNSS and IMU integration
, and survey control workflows. - Experience generating orthomosaics, point clouds, classified LiDAR datasets, and topographic surfaces.
- Knowledge of CAD/GIS platforms (Civil 3D, ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)
- High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, defensible survey deliverables.
- FAA Part 107 certification (not required but a plus).
- Experience with drone‑based LiDAR
, mobile LiDAR, or terrestrial scanning. - Familiarity with LP360 Advanced features such as feature extraction and advanced classification.
- Experience with ground control survey workflows
