About the Role

The Data Center Infrastructure Operations organization is looking for an individual with proven skills to help support our Facility Operations Center. The Facility Operations Center is responsible for 24×7 monitoring of the data center’s physical infrastructure, ensuring a consistent, reliable and customer‑focused experience.
Key Job Responsibilities- Properly respond, acknowledge, investigate, and dispatch critical alarms
- Monitor the facility infrastructure platform
- Perform change management tasks
- Create and issue tickets
- Follow verbal and written directions
- Have an intermediate level of understanding of critical infrastructure
- Proficient computer and communication skills
- Required shift‑work, overtime, and/or rotating schedules to support a 24×7 environment (rotating shift includes weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime shifts)
The Facility Operations Center (FOC) serves as the centralized 24/7 remote monitoring center for AWS data center’s critical physical facility infrastructure systems. We support availability by assisting internal teams in communicating prompt and accurate alarm and event notifications. The FOC ensures safety across all AWS data centers by enforcing Change Management policies and serves as the communication hub during emergency and normal operations.
AboutThe Team
The Facility Operations Center (FOC) is a singular support team that proactively monitors life‑safety systems and infrastructure equipment alarms (e.g., chillers, temperature sensors, generators, UPSs, switch gear, breakers, PDUs, and ATSs) that provide power and cooling to the platform 24×7×365. The FOC serves as a communications hub during both standard and emergency operations.
Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of technical support experience, or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- Experience documenting technical customer issues and 1+ years of customer‑facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- 3+ years of customer service experience
