Infection Control, Clinical Nurse Specialist
City Infusions is a specialty ambulatory infusion center launching in Arlington, Virginia in Spring 2026. The clinic will focus on insurance-based biologic therapies for autoimmune, neurological, gastrointestinal, and inflammatory conditions.
This is not a wellness IV hydration clinic. We are a compliant, specialty infusion center focused on specialty biologic therapies.
City Infusions has launched as a lean startup practice, starting with a small team and gradually expanding as referral relationships and patient volume grow. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working independently, building systems, and helping grow a new specialty practice.
The RoleWe are seeking an experienced infusion nurse to join our team.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing specialty infusions safely, and helping refine clinical processes as the clinic grows.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Care- Administer specialty biologic and IVIG infusions
- Monitor patients and manage infusion reactions
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based infusion protocols
- Help establish and maintain clinical workflows and operational standards
- Assist with implementation of infusion protocols
- Maintain high documentation and regulatory standards
- Assist with implementation of EMR and documentation workflows
- Ensure proper medication storage, handling, and compliance standards
- Support development of SOPs and clinical policies
- Communicate with referring physicians and specialty practices
- Coordinate follow‑up care including labs and imaging as needed
- Support relationship‑building with referring physician offices as the clinic launches
- Help refine workflows and processes as patient volume grows
- Assist with hiring and training additional nursing staff as the clinic expands
- Minimum 5 years nursing experience
- Minimum 3 years outpatient infusion experience
- Demonstrated experience administering specialty biologics or IVIG
- Experience managing infusion reactions independently
- Ability to operate confidently in a small‑team clinical environment
- Experience in rheumatology, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, or immunology infusions
- Experience launching or scaling infusion programs
- Previous Clinical Lead or Director‑level responsibilities
City Infusions offers a flexible structure during the clinic ramp‑up phase.
Launch Phase- Part‑time/PRN
- Focus on clinic setup, protocol development, and early operations
As patient volume increases, the role will expand toward full‑time clinical leadership.
Compensation will increase as the clinic scales.
