Position Summary
The Department of Visual Arts at Anne Arundel Community College is seeking qualified candidates for instructors in the area of 3D Design. Responsibilities include assessing student progress in meeting the learning objectives through formal and informal assessment, meeting required deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other information, as requested, and adhering to safety procedures and departmental standards.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
- Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
- Teach all scheduled classes.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, online and/or off‑campus classes.
- Master’s degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 2 years full‑time professional work experience in the area, OR a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years teaching experience.
- Include a link to an online portfolio containing samples of professional work that demonstrate expertise in one or all of these areas.
- Two years teaching experience in 3D Design.
- Experience teaching in higher education in an online, synchronous format.
Job pays between $1,170.00 and $1,263.00 per faculty load hour. The position requires regular in‑person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis. Employment‑based visa sponsorship (including H‑1B sponsorship) is not available for any position. Only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the following states will be eligible for employment at the college:
Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia.
