Overview

As an Unarmed Security Officer for Blue Raven Inc., your primary responsibility will be to observe and report any unusual activities, ensuring a secure environment for our clients. Your duties will include vigilant monitoring to prevent potential security incidents, accurately documenting your observations, and providing detailed reports of any incidents or suspicious behavior. By maintaining a strong presence and effective communication, you will help ensure the safety of residents and property without engaging in direct enforcement actions.

• Patrol Duties: Perform foot patrols across clients  properties, including parking lots, common areas, and other specified locations to detect, deter, and report any damage, criminal activity, or other unauthorized behavior.
• Surveillance: Vigilantly monitor for suspicious activities such as unauthorized vehicles, vehicle break-ins, trespassers, loiterers, trash and lighting issues, or any other unusual activities that could compromise the security of the property.
• Access Control: Check all doors within assigned buildings to ensure they are locked, and alarms are set as necessary, ensuring all areas are secure. Enforce access control measures to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Security Assessments: Conduct security assessments and notify clients through detailed reports about lighting issues, non-operable lights and security measures, and any other potential security breaches such as damaged fences, lack of fencing, or overgrown areas that could conceal intruders.
• Incident Response: Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies and incidents, utilizing enforcement capacity to manage the situation and ensure safety.
• Compliance: Perform additional duties as specified by the site Post Orders to ensure comprehensive security coverage. Enforce compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring the needs of residents and clients are met with respect and courtesy.
• Alertness: Must always stay alert and be vigilant in observing surroundings and reporting potential threats.
• Self-Motivation: Must be self-motivated, demonstrating initiative and proactive behavior in all tasks.
• Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service, addressing the concerns and needs of clients and residents effectively and efficiently.
• Report to Management: Utilize and maintain security software efficiently, submitting real-time reports to ensure timely and accurate documentation of all activities, incidents, and enforcement actions.
• Additional Duties: Reception duties:
  Validate IDs;
  Complete visitor log;
  Inform employees of visitors arrival;
  Complete Foreign National Visitor form and check valid .
• Security duties: Receive alarm calls (Building and Secure Vault);
  Respond to alarm calls;
  Call list required if Secure Vault alarm goes off;
  End of day check for all exterior doors (5);
  Report visitor data monthly.

• Must have a Virginia Unarmed Security Officer Registration.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen pursuant to US 32 CFR 117.10.
• Must have at least 1 year Security Experience or equivalent.
• Must be technology literate.
• Must be Fluent in English (Level
  3).
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be a team player and mission oriented (we have no room for ego).
• Must have strong observation skills and the ability to write detailed reports.

• Must be able to patrol on foot.
• Ability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be physically fit and able to perform the duties required of the role.
