Trains with an experienced service technician for a year to learn how to perform basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. Ideal candidate will have reliable attendance and a strong willingness to learn about mechanics.
Responsibilities:- Learns and performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment
- Participates in company provided training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
- Learns knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
- Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
- Accounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties
- Must be an energetic person who has a desire to learn about mechanics
- Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to use computer applications
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required along with a good driving record
- Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment
- Must have reliable attendance

Pay Information:The hourly pay range for this position is $17 to $22. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base hourly wage for this role. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.

Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, Saturday 7am-12pm OR 7am-3pm (rotation determined by store)
Off Season/Winter
Hours:
Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
* In Season Hours may be extended during peak seasons (planting, harvest, or any other peak selling season) to meet the needs of the store. Extended Hours are determined by the needs of the store and subject to change.
* Off Season Hours are from November-March. Start and end date to winter hours is dependent on year and subject to change.
