- 5 years of experience in manufacturing in Surface Mount Technology (SMT), final assembly and system integration, process development and sustaining.
- Experience in statistical analysis tools and setting up Statistical Process Control (SPC), Potential Capability (CP), and Capability Process Index (CPK) monitoring.
- Knowledge of industry inspection and testing procedures.
- Ability to work directly with or for Contract Manufacturers, to partner effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
- Ability to successfully manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously.

This role owns the end-to-end manufacturing life-cycle for Cloud hardware, specializing in L6 (PCBA), L10 (System Assembly), and L11 (Rack Integration) platforms. Moving beyond standard sustaining engineering, you will guide our transition into a "Smart Factory" ecosystem. By integrating AI, predictive maintenance, and unified data platforms, you will build the intelligent infrastructure needed to support hyperscale growth.
As the resident process expert on the factory floor, you will drive on-time delivery, scale capacity, and optimize cost-efficiency through advanced automation. You will advocate a culture of continuous improvement, constantly refining our operations so the company can scale sustainably. Furthermore, you will qualify, develop, and manage our Contract Manufacturers to cultivate a robust, reliable global manufacturing network equipped for tomorrow's challenges.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Drive early NPI engagement, factory readiness, Design for Manufacturing (DFM)/Design for Assembly (DFA), and technical Request for Quote (RFQ) definitions to resolve manufacturability issues prior to mass production.
- Provide remote and on-site supplier support, owning Manufacturing Capability Assessments (MCA) and site transfer qualifications to ensure Contract Manufacturers (CM)/Original Design Manufacturers (ODM) readiness.
- Define capacity requirements and infrastructure needs utilizing rigorous time studies, line balancing, and targeted automation strategies.
- Manage products through End of Life (EOL), monitor assembly yields, lead root-cause investigations, and drive corrective actions.
- Advocate cost-reduction, automation, and process optimizations to sustainably improve cycle times, yield, capacity, and exceptional quality.
