Transmission and Utilities Engineering Project Manager

Freese & Nichols is seeking a Transmission and Utilities Engineering Project Manager to lead complex water and wastewater projects from concept through completion in Atlanta or Columbus, Georgia.

• Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects using earned value management principles.
• Supervise multi-discipline teams of engineers, technicians, GIS analysts, designers, CAD staff, and sub‑consultants.
• Coordinate assigned work to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality.
• Design and review calculations, seal drawings, and prepare reports.
• Work independently and mentor junior staff.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, client staff, regulatory agencies, and project teams.
• Participate in business development activities including scope and fee preparation, proposal preparation, and marketing efforts.
• Commit to client service for internal and external stakeholders.

• 6+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to become registered within 6 months.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency in hydraulics and industry standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
