The Opportunity

We’re partnering with a growth-oriented organization seeking a Technical Accounting Manager with a strong public accounting audit background to help lead the accounting function through M&A, technical complexity, and operational scale
. This role offers hands-on exposure to transactions, leadership visibility, and the opportunity to expand into FP&A and strategic finance over time.

This is an ideal move for CPAs from Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, as well as RSM, BDO, Grant Thornton, Crowe, Cherry Bekaert, or similar firms who want to apply their technical expertise inside a business—and grow beyond pure accounting.

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Own complex technical accounting related to acquisitions, integrations, revenue recognition, leases, equity, and new standards
• Partner closely with leadership during M&A activity, purchase accounting, and post-acquisition integration
• Act as the primary liaison to external auditors as the company prepares for increased scrutiny
• Strengthen SOX, controls, and audit readiness in anticipation of future public company requirements
• Build and mentor the accounting team while improving systems and processes
• Collaborate with FP&A on forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis, with runway to expand into strategic finance

• CPA required
• Audit / Assurance background at a Big 4 or top national/regional firm
• Strong technical accounting and research skills, particularly in M&A-heavy environments
• Experience managing audits and interacting with senior stakeholders
• Interest in operating at the intersection of accounting, finance, and strategy
• Comfort in ambiguity and growth-stage environments
