Jira Lead Administrator Security Clearance

Jira Lead Administrator – Full‑time, Mid Level – Department:
Information Technology

CGS is seeking a talented Jira Lead Administrator who is passionate about driving transformation in the federal IT domain. You will develop executable strategies, implement new technologies, streamline processes, and improve delivery of mission value through new practices and tools.

• Create custom projects in the Atlassian tool suite to support complex workflows that meet business needs.
• Provide advanced configuration of the Atlassian suite to promote CI/CD.
• Create and maintain Jira and Confluence collaboration sites (e.g., Kanban boards, Scrum boards, documentation pages).
• Analyze, research, manage, and implement integrated Atlassian tools, plugins, and applications.
• Interface with diverse stakeholders as a liaison and trusted advisor.
• Help define how information systems may be upgraded or replaced.
• Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize them.
• Write custom Jira Query Language (JQL) statements as needed.

• 7 years of experience in systems analysis and design of information systems programs.
• 3 years of experience with Jira and Confluence administration.
• 3 + years of experience with Bamboo and Bitbucket.
• Advanced degree in an appropriate field and an additional three years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Agile principles and applied best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must successfully complete a stringent background investigation and obtain the required Government Security Clearance (moderate risk public trust).
• Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator (preferred).
• Working knowledge of Networking, DNS, Databases, APIs, SAML, and Akamai.
• Consulting experience in a Federal agency, especially within DHS.
• Experience with Federal Systems Engineering Life Cycles (SELC) and Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC).
• Experience with Government software development policies and procedures (ideal).
• Client‑facing communication experience (ideal).
• Federal Agency issued security clearance (ideal).
