Compensation
Scheduled weekly hours: 24. Sign‑on bonus: $10,000. Salary range: $35.88–$55.56 per hour.
Benefits include healthcare/dental/vision and retirement. Sturdy Health’s benefits package may be additional.
Responsibilities- Provide timely, positive responses to patients, families, co‑workers, and physicians.
- Collaborate to develop individualized, coordinated care plans.
- Assess and record vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
- Administer medications per orders and maintain accurate records.
- Perform nursing care, both simple and complex, tailored to patient needs.
- Delegate care in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act and Sturdy Health guidelines.
- Maintain patient records and nursing care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
- Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Operate medical equipment such as monitors, IV pumps, and ventilators.
- Participate in quality assessment and improvement initiatives.
- Develop positive relationships across all units.
- Fulfill Charge Nurse duties as assigned.
- Remain current on licensing, certifications, and competencies.
- Apply a growth mindset, maintain inquiry, and use evidence‑based practice.
- Ensure research protocol compliance.

Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited nursing school;
Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. - Current Massachusetts state RN license.
- Current BLS certification required for all RNs.
- ACLS required on Telemetry, ICU, ED, Cardiac Rehab, Endoscopy, LDRP, PACU, Med/Surg.
- NRP required on LDRP.
- PALS required on PACU and ED.
- Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Command of English; adaptability.
- Minimum 2 years acute‑care experience preferred (new graduate acceptance for some positions).
- Additional certifications and a minimum of 2 years acute‑care experience.
- Ability to comply with nursing standards, practice guidelines, and regulatory agencies.
- Sound dexterity, visual acuity, mental alertness, and stamina for fast‑paced environments.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, and lift 25–50 lbs using correct body mechanics.
- Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
- Fine motor skills for injections, catheter insertion, and equipment operation.
- Ability to push heavy equipment, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
- Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and stressful settings possible.
- Annual safety training required.
