Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; required for Cardiac Rehab.
Licenses & CertificationsCurrent Massachusetts state RN license. All RNs must have current BLS certification. ACLS is required with BLS for RN positions on:
Telemetry, ICU, ED, Cardiac Rehab, Endoscopy, LDRP, PACU, Med/Surg. NRP is required with ACLS and BLS on LDRP. PALS required with ACLS and BLS on PACU and ED.
New Graduate Nurses accepted for some positions. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, good organizational skills, and adaptability. Command of verbal and written English.
Preferred Qualifications and SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience in acute care setting.
Essential Job Functions- Provide timely, positive responses to the needs of all customers including patients, families, co‑workers, and physicians.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized, coordinated, and comprehensive care plans.
- Regularly assess and record vital signs to monitor patient status.
- Gather and document patients’ medical history, symptoms, and current health status.
- Systematically assess patients for care needs, changes in condition, behavior, or response to treatment.
- Administer and accurately record medications according to provider orders and established protocols.
- Independently administer nursing care, applying both simple and complex techniques and processes tailored to patient needs.
- Delegate care in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act and Sturdy Health guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessments, interventions, and responses.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment options, and health maintenance.
- Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Utilize and maintain medical equipment such as monitors, IV pumps, ventilators.
- Participate in quality assessment and improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships across all areas of responsibility.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer relations and continuous quality improvement.
- Charge Nurse duties as assigned.
- Maintain current licensure, certifications, and competencies.
- Apply a growth mindset and maintain inquiry.
- Incorporate evidence‑based practice and ensure research protocol compliance.

- Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, stressful or noisy environments.
- Must meet annual safety training requirements.
$42.86–$66.80 per hour. The pay range reflects the anticipated range for new hires; actual compensation will be determined based on work history, experience, skill set, and education.
