Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)

Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of the Center Physician for medical matters.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, HIV education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions in accordance with SOPs for medical emergencies and standing orders for donor transport to emergency care.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and medical or technical guidance regarding donor safety and eligibility.
• Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees and manage employee incidents with occupational health/ER evaluation as needed.
• Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS to investigate pandemic threats within the local community.
• Provide center‑level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS) in line with guidance from Bio Life Medical Affairs.

• High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified in the state of assignment:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Hourly Wage Range: $38.72 - $53.24. The actual wage may depend on qualifications, experience, and unique skills.
