Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)
Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of the Center Physician for medical matters.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, HIV education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions in accordance with SOPs for medical emergencies and standing orders for donor transport to emergency care.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and medical or technical guidance regarding donor safety and eligibility.
- Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees and manage employee incidents with occupational health/ER evaluation as needed.
- Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS to investigate pandemic threats within the local community.
- Provide center‑level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS) in line with guidance from Bio Life Medical Affairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified in the state of assignment:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Hourly Wage Range: $38.72 - $53.24. The actual wage may depend on qualifications, experience, and unique skills. U.S. employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well‑being benefits. U.S. employees are also eligible to accrue up to 80 hours of sick time and, for new hires, up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
