Job Description

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Safely and accurately complete assigned Compounding Production Orders, which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Performing kettle and holding tank washouts compliant with the requirements of the department and/or formula.
  • Recording raw material requirements, lot/batch numbers, and consumed quantities on required paperwork and container labels.
  • Submitting samples of formula and raw materials to Quality Control for testing and approval.
  • Ensuring formula batches meet required spec's by following the Production Order Instructions and procedures and processes within the respective Compounding Departments.
  • Safely and appropriately using such tools as pumps, hoses, transfer lines, and valves to transfer both raw materials and formulas from one container to another.
  • Wearing all applicable PPE required in the different areas entered in the plant as well as adhering to the Production Floor Employee Dress Code.
  • Execute assigned and/or required housekeeping in the Compounding work areas to ensure a safe and clean work environment that minimizes risk for contamination and/or exposure.
  • Replace and maintain hoses, gaskets, and connectors, as needed, to ensure safe, clean transfer of materials and formulas.
  • Assist in troubleshooting transfer pumps.
  • Ensuring that all areas within area are clean and organized per the Supervisors request and Compounding requirements.
Education, Knowledge & Skills
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), may include specialized or vocational courses.
  • Two to three years chemical mixing and material handling experience preferred
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
