This position provides administrative support by performing complex and varied office tasks. The role requires the use of independent judgement, initiative and discretion in making decisions on a wide range of matters.
Primary Responsibilities- Entering and maintaining information in databases
- Processing contracts and invoices
- Reviewing and processing various permit applications
- Procurements
- Providing additional administrative support as needed.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, and regulations in diverse situations. Due to the cross‑functional nature of this role, adaptability and flexibility are essential.

Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates
1) competency in applying a proficient knowledge of modern office practices to perform advanced administrative support tasks requiring specialized skills, and
2) the ability to use independent judgment, initiative, and discretion to make determinations on varied matters. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of Office Assistant I, Office Assistant II, Office Associate I, and Office Associate II.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, and other office technology and equipment
- Experience using Advantage and Maine Pays
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proven ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities while adapting to changing business needs
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
