Join Age Care as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and provide vital nursing care in an enriching environment. Collaborate closely with a supportive healthcare team to enhance residents' lives.
As a vital member of the nursing team, the Registered Practical Nurse will oversee Personal Support Workers and implement individualized care plans for residents. You'll communicate with physicians and actively participate in decision-making regarding residents’ health. You will need to bring a solid foundation in nursing practices and the legislation guiding long-term care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement care plans according to Age Care protocols
• Supervise and guide Personal Support Workers' activities
• Engage with physicians and external health care partners
• Participate in shift reports to ensure care continuity
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health status
Requirements:
• Active Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses
• Experience in nursing focusing on geriatric care
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice standards
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Dedication to high-quality resident care
