Job Overview
Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and constantly adapt to technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience. They immerse themselves in meaningful connections with customers, building new and deepening existing relationships, and consistently build expertise in uncovering customers’ needs to educate, demonstrate, and recommend device and service solutions.
Job Responsibilities- Builds proficiency related to serving and selling to customers while providing a world‑class customer experience and building loyalty:
- Help customers continue where they left off in their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in‑store.
- Explore individual needs and provide hands‑on demonstrations of the latest technology in‑store.
- Side‑by‑side sell to find personalized solutions beyond the basic device and service plan, keeping customers connected to the people and lifestyle they love—including accessories and cutting‑edge IoT devices.
- Approach service and sales needs with composure, integrity, and compassion.
- Become skilled with and consistently use digital tools in interactions and onboarding to actively demonstrate:
- How our coverage stacks up in customers’ neighborhoods, providing them with a fast LTE network.
- Why T‑Mobile plans and services allow customers to live unlimited, feel the love, stay connected, and go further.
- Complete training on the in‑store experience, new skills, processes, and reference resources.
- Make the most of shift time by seeking information between customers and learning about wireless and technology innovations.
- Establish relationships with and partner with T‑Mobile employees across channels, including business and customer service to:
- Collectively own the customer experience and resolve issues, creating a seamless, run‑around‑free environment.
- Identify and hand off small business leads.
- Support team initiatives and create an inclusive environment.
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, Retail environment preferred. (Required)
Skills and Abilities
- Passionate customer advocate with the desire to be yourself when connecting and having fun doing it! (Required)
- Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast‑paced sales environment. (Required)
- Willingness to work alongside peers and store leaders, learning and sharing ideas while serving customers and providing resolutions to issues. (Required)
- Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals. (Required)

Hourly Base Pay: $18.00, plus $5.00 per hour training pay.
Within the first 90 days working at T‑Mobile, Mobile Associates receive on‑the‑job training and are eligible for hourly training pay. Once completed, Mobile Associates promote to the Mobile Expert role and become eligible for an annualized incentive target of $18,000/year. Actual incentives vary based on performance and full‑time status. All employees at T‑Mobile are guaranteed to earn $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives.
