Hours and Schedule

40 hours per week. Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend support for events. In person first 45 days; thereafter one day per week remote flexibility.

Position Details

Central coordinator for College of Fine Arts (COFA) Career Services, responsible for communications, events, and administration.

Responsibilities
  • Communications:
    Serve as career services’ marketing and communications lead; write and disseminate digital content including a biweekly newsletter, announcements, and promotional materials; design print, digital signage, event posters, and student guides; collaborate with internal units and external partners; update web/digital copy on COFA website (Drupal), Career Services website (Word Press), and 12

    Twenty; represent career services within COFA Communications, design, and social media employee groups.
  • Events Management:
    Organize and support career services events, including college‑wide events and special programs; manage room reservations, submit facility requests, and provide logistical support as needed; assist with programmatic communications.
  • Administrative Support:
    Provide administrative support to the Director of Career Services; track and allocate budget; reconcile event budgets with the business office; monitor and maintain office subscriptions; create and update workflows and monitor project progress; perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain relationships with internal and community stakeholders; manage the room reservation process for communal spaces on Level 1 of the Doty Fine Arts Building; collaborate with COFA Undergraduate Studies and the Kendra Scott Women’s Entrepreneurship Leadership Institute; engage on‑campus and off‑campus parties to execute joint ventures in professional development and community impact.
  • Minor in Arts Management and Administration:
    Provide administrative support for the Minor in Arts Management and Administration; manage instructional pieces.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of program or project support experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, build strategic relationships, and manage time and resources collaboratively.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Basic working experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, Twitter, You Tube).
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast‑paced environment with minimal guidance.
  • Required Competencies:

    Initiative, effective communications, managing multiple priorities, accuracy and attention to detail, teamwork, problem solving, service excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing relationships and programs, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation for events ranging from small to large scale.
  • Graphic design experience.
  • Creative facilitation of decision‑making group processes.
  • Familiarity with not‑for‑profit or public arts organizations such as museums, galleries, public arts programs, and performing arts centers.
  • Knowledge of event‑planning tools (Canva, Eventbrite, Mailchimp, Zoom).

Salary Range

$55,000–$61,000.

Driving Requirement

This position requires a Texas class “C” driver’s license and a current three‑year driving record. Non‑resident applicants must obtain a Texas driver’s license within 30 days of becoming a resident.
