A Presidential proclamation issued on September 19, 2025, imposes a $100,000 fee on new H-1B petitions filed after September 21, 2025. SUMMARY:

The Department of Higher Education & Learning Technologies at East Texas A&M University, a student-ready, Doctoral University classified as R2:
High Research Activity by the Carnegie Classification, invites applications for a tenured or tenured track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, (tenure-track), Associate Professor (tenured), or Professor (tenured) This is a 9-month appointment, to begin in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.

* Individuals seeking appointment as a tenured Associate Professor or Professor are required to meet the department's established criteria for tenure and promotion before the appointment is made.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Teach online.

* Implement a significant, ongoing program of focused scholarly research and publications, including collaborative efforts with appropriate content area faculty.

* Provide service and leadership to national and regional professional organizations, the university, college, and department.

* Chair and serve on master's and doctoral student committees.

* Advise masters and doctoral students.

* Applicants will be expected to have potential for or demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
