We seek an experienced Automation Engineer focused on electronic product assembly and automation assembly operations. This position reports to the Automation Team Supervisor and is responsible, through subordinate and matrix management, for the output, operation, and maintenance of automation equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement production equipment and tooling according to specifications from Project and Research & Development departments and process requirements.
- Coordinate automation projects with external integrators.
- Participate, support, and run Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with project teams, collecting and reporting SAT data.
- Analyze and find innovative solutions, including robots, vision systems, real‑time traceability, performance monitoring (FPY), troubleshoot, and optimize automatic lines to improve OEE and productivity.
- Manage resources and budgets for the Automation department and related projects.
- Lead teams to drive continual improvement in FPY, efficiency, and scrap rate to meet department KPIs.
- Manage maintenance activities, responsible for spare part budget and availability.
- Monitor daily production activity and send daily production reports.
- BSc in Machinery or Electronic Engineering.
- 5–8 years in field service engineering, production plants, or system integrators with knowledge of automation and complex machine management.
- Experience with SMT equipment and electronics manufacturing.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, software, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with CAD 3D (PRO‑E preferred).
- Familiarity with FMEA.
- Team management and outsourcing project experience.
- Creative, “Out Of Box” thinking, multi‑tasking, self‑motivated, and able to initiate solutions.
