JOB TYPERegular, Exempt, Grade 23, Salary $5,800.00 – $6,400.00 per month
RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform all assigned aspects of compliance reviews, including Single Audit and high‑risk reviews, following TDA Food and Nutrition processes and procedures.
- Evaluate and assess compliance review results, recommend hold of reimbursement, process validation claims, and/or terminate contracts when appropriate.
- Prepare and deliver correspondence to notify organizations of findings and concerns, providing supporting justification.
- Offer technical assistance to internal and external customers on program rules and corrective action recommendations.
- Ensure corrective action plans (CAPs) and close‑out processes are completed accurately and on schedule, including appeals and hearings.
- Coordinate and communicate findings and resolution status to the Assistant Director of Business Management and other stakeholders through team meetings and debriefs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, materials, and tools that improve compliance review operations.
- Assist with maintenance updates and testing for TXUNPS and/or TANS as assigned.
- Follow all TDA policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (one year of related work experience may substitute for one year of college).
- Four (4) years of audit/accounting/financial experience emphasizing financial compliance or grant management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing methods; generally accepted standards; computer technology and federal/state regulations related to program audits.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service, compose clear audit reports, analyze data, interpret regulations, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
- Public sector auditing (financial), Single Audit Act federal compliance auditing, cost accounting, budgeting in Texas government, or business process accounting.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Access, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, and related data analytics software.
- Experience in sub‑recipient monitoring for a governmental entity.
Normal office environment with possible exposure to dust and allergens; primarily sedentary with occasional walking, standing, pulling, and bending. May lift up to 30 pounds. Extended periods at computer, possibly extended hours, evenings, and weekends. Up to 10% occasional travel, including overnight stays. No telework; physical presence required.
