- Assist with infrastructure support focusing on job scheduling, workload automation, and managed file transfer (MFT) solutions, including Global Scape Enterprise SFTP and Global ECS Job Scheduler technologies.
- Assist with deployment of applications to multiple environments using Dev Ops methodologies, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment based primarily on Windows Power Shell, Ansible, Open Shift, and Jenkins.
- Assist with software provisioning, configuration management, integration validation, and application deployment tools.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure problems related to job scheduling, workload automation, managed file transfers, Solar Winds, and Dynatrace technologies.
- Work with developers, DBAs, QA staff, and others to continuously improve processes and ensure high-quality deliveries on time.
- Assist with developing policies, procedures, and standards for installing, configuring, and supporting job scheduling, workload automation, and managed file transfer technologies.
- Assist with planning an infrastructure environment for multiple applications.
- Work on installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of job scheduling, workload automation, and managed file transfer technologies.
- Conduct product evaluations of new software and upgrades to existing middleware software to identify strengths, weaknesses, and potential benefits.
- Monitor applications to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and HIPAA/PHI/PII regulations.
- Collaborate with other agency staff to maintain application and network security.
- Provide training and technical assistance to IT and other staff on middleware technology software and related issues (only for Dev Ops Operation Engineer).
- Perform on-call or scheduled after-hours work as required.
- Perform related work as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in software engineering, computer science, IT, or a closely related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent with one year of full-time experience in recent job scheduling, workload automation, and MFT solution administration, including one year administering a Microsoft Windows server environment, may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis.
- One year of full‑time experience in recent job scheduling, workload automation, and MFT solution administration, including one year administering a Microsoft Windows server environment (Dev Ops Operation Engineer Associate level).
- Three years of full‑time directly related, progressively responsible experience in job scheduling, workload automation, and MFT solution administration, including one year administering a Microsoft Windows server environment (Dev Ops Operation Engineer level).
- Experience may be concurrent.
- A master’s degree or doctoral degree in a closely related field may be substituted on an equivalent year‑for‑year basis.
- Experience with Global Scape Enterprise SFTP and Global ECS Job Scheduler infrastructure design, development, and support.
