Job DescriptionReports To:
Product Group Director, Dampers.
Responsible for driving and managing the execution of projects and initiatives throughout all stages of the project process following established global, regional, and PDC B,C category projects within the Dampers product group. This position will lead cross‑functional teams to ensure project deliverables through the project lifecycle. This position may be filled at the Project Manager 1 or Project Manager 2 level based on candidate experience, demonstrated competencies, and the scope and complexity of assigned projects.
EssentialFunctions
- Manage project schedule and budget, staying within project costs, quality, and timing commitments.
- Support driving and directing cross‑functional teams and coordinating multi‑functional activities to meet milestones and deliver projects on plan.
- Build, prioritise, and manage the project backlog to maximise value delivery in line with business case and milestones.
- Drive escalation, decision‑making, and resolution of critical issues, including scope, timing, and investment trade‑offs, to ensure project success.
- Own creation, maintenance, and execution of business cases, including financial assumptions, trade‑offs, and value realisation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop project life cycle management strategy on assigned projects to enable fulfillment of CoC STRAP commitments.
- Coordinate and participate in assigned projects relating to productivity or product introduction.
- Participate in process improvement projects as needed.
- Conduct management updates and PDC reviews.
- Provide strong direction, decisions, and actions, including adjustments to project to ensure successful completion; motivate others through positive interactions.
- Listen to others and provide feedback while managing the flow of project information and task completion.
- Ensure alignment of work packages within the project are aligned between customers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Interface with customers and stakeholders.

- In‑depth understanding of business and management processes needed for successful project completion.
- Accomplished in organising, managing, and completing projects/product launches to measurable targets.
- Understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, including phase‑gate approaches.
- Technical knowledge relative to business, management principles, and business case methodologies.
- Knowledge of product launch and project management tools including Planisware, Teamcenter, SAP desired.
- Exposure to major functional and cross‑functional business processes and related metrics, specifically as they relate to the product commercialization cycle (Engineering, Operations, Financial, Marketing, and Sales).
- 3‑5 years’ experience in project management focused on supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, or product development.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Experience in an automotive or transportation environment preferred.
- Ability to budget and consider different budget strategies when involved in making decisions on the Project Management team.
