Role Summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN Med Surg for an 8‑week contract in Bakersfield, California.

• Provide inpatient Med/Surg nursing care on a hospital unit.
• Utilize Epic and Cerner EMRs, supporting an Epic EMR conversion.
• Operate Balloon Pump and Impella devices.
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale standards.

• Active CA RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience, worked in specialty within last 3 months.
• Minimum 6 months Epic experience within last 12 months.
• Proficient in both Epic and Cerner.
• Balloon Pump and Impella experience.
• Unrestricted RN license with no prior license hits.
• Two supervisor references (within past year and past two years).
• Valid date of birth and Social Security Number for consideration.
• Will not be approved for more than 5 days RTO; adequate documentation of employment gaps (≥1 month) required.
