JONATHAN CECI LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS is seeking a senior-level landscape architect to take a leading role in the technical development and documentation of complex, design-driven projects. This position is ideal for a landscape architect who enjoys making ambitious ideas buildable — someone who finds satisfaction in construction detailing, grading resolution, planting and soil design, and the disciplined production of clear, coordinated construction documents.
Our projects are layered and demanding; success in this role requires comfort with complexity, direct communication, and proactive leadership.
- Shepherd visionary design concepts into built form
- Take technical ownership of projects from design development through documentation
- Lead the resolution of grading, drainage, soils, planting, and constructability challenges
- Develop, coordinate, and review construction details, drawings, and specifications
- Identify technical risks early and address them decisively
- Provide clear technical direction and mentorship to junior staff
- Coordinate with consultants and respond directly to contractor and agency questions
- Uphold and help advance office standards for documentation quality and clarity
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in landscape architecture
- Demonstrated experience leading the technical documentation of built projects
- Strong command of grading design, planting design, soil design, and construction detailing
- Experience writing, editing, or coordinating technical specifications
- Comfort making clear decisions and standing behind technical solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Rhino and Revit experience a plus)
